A private Roman Catholic University that is located in the Great Falls in Montana , the university of Great Falls aims at providing liberal education for living and livelihood for students.

University of Great Falls is fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.
Brief History
Founded in 1932 by Edwin Vincent O'Hara who was the Catholic Bishop there in collaboration with the Sisters of Charity of Providence and Ursuline Sisters, it was one of those universities that became coeducational in 1937. Two different schools were established and they were unified in 1942 when the institute was renamed as Great Falls College of Education. By 1950 the nomenclature changed to College of Great Falls that obtained university status in the year 1995.
Programs Offered
While the university offers undergraduate degrees in over twenty disciplines, it also offers master's degree in several subjects including online degree in teaching in collaboration with the Bellevue University of Nebraska. Overall student strength is approximately 1300 of which around 200 are graduate students. College of Arts and Science and College Professional studies are the two colleges under UGF undergraduate program. Schools of arts and humanities; history, language, and literature; and mathematics and science come under the first college. Schools of business, education, and human services come under the second one. Other popular programs are human services, criminal justice, elementary education, counseling psychology, and paralegal studies
Admission
With a rolling admission policy the university considers applications irrespective of race, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender, marital and financial status, physical and mental status, and nationality. Though applications can be filed any time, submitting them a month before the commencement of the first class could be useful. Applications must be accompanied with required documents and non-refundable fee of $25, GED, ACT, and SAT scores, and aspirants must face the UGF placement test before registration. Furnishing proof of two measles immunization and one rubella immunization is mandatory.
Financial Aids
Scholarships, grants, and loans are the common forms of financial aid available to students in the university. Eligibility is normally determined on the basis of review of the application of the student and finding out the mathematical difference between the average cost of attendance and the expected family contribution of the student.
